IS HEMP THE SAME AS MARIJUANA?

Though they are both Cannabis Sativa L., they are distinctly different varieties. Hemp is non-psychoactive, and completely different from marijuana in its chemical makeup, cultivation methods, and its applications.  Whereas marijuana has lots of THC and a low percentage of the beneficial cannabinoids, hemp has a high percentage of the beneficial cannabinoids and a very small amount of THC.

CAN HEMP GET YOU HIGH?

No, not only is the THC level so low in hemp that it is impossible for you to get high from smoking or ingesting it, but hemp also contains another chemical called CBD (Cannabidiol) that blocks the effectiveness of the THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) chemical. Under .3% is the legal limit for THC in industrial hemp, and all of our products are below that percentage.

WHAT ARE CANNABINOIDS?

Cannabinoids are a class of chemical compounds found naturally in animals and some plants. When found in animals, these chemical compounds are called endocannabinoids. Like all animals, humans have an entire endocannabinoid system (ECS), with our body making cannabinoid neurotransmitters, receptors, and enzymes to process them. This system regulates many important functions, including memory, appetite, energy balance, metabolism, stress response, immune function, reproduction, pain, thermoregulation, and sleep.

When found in plants, these chemical compounds are called phytocannabinoids. The cannabis plant (along with a few other choice plants like Echinacea, Clove, Carrots, Black Pepper, Cacao) produce cannabinoids that mimic the molecules found in our own bodies. Since we already have receptors for these chemical compounds (CB1, CB2), the animal and human body can take advantage of cannabinoids from plants in the same way we use the cannabinoids we make with our own bodies.

IS CBD OIL ILLEGAL?

CBD oil derived from hemp is completely legal to buy in all 50 states.
In 2018, a farm bill was passed allowing the cultivation and processing of hemp within the US, as long as the level of THC is below .3%.

IS HEMP CBD SAFE FOR YOUR PETS?

All mammals have an endocannabinoid system (ECS) and can benefit from hemp. Hemp CBD derived oils, sprays, treats and topicals are completely safe for your pets. CBD may help reduce pain, inflammation and anxiety in your pets.  All of our pet products are 100% THC free.

ARE THERE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CBD OIL?

Yes, there are 3 types of CBD Oil:

Full-spectrum CBD oil is essentially the “full package,” providing the entirety of cannabinoids and other compounds that are thought to work together synergistically to enhance their benefits in a theory called the entourage effect.  There are over 100 components of the plant including cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, CBN, etc.), terpenes, flavonoids, chlorophyll, beta carotene, B complex vitamins, essential fatty acids, all 20 amino acids, and the list goes on!

Broad Spectrum oil contains all components of the plant, except THC.  So if you are looking for all the benefits of the plant minus the THC, then this option may be for you.

CBD Isolate oil is derived from the purified CBD molecule and delivers a high concentration of CBD.  It is white and powdery in its appearance, and contains no other phytocannabinoids.

IS CBD OIL BAD FOR ATHLETES?

Absolutely not!  Athletes use it to help fight fatigue, muscle pain, inflammation, and to assist with overall recuperation.  Athletes are at higher risk than the average individual for injury because their bodies are put through tremendous stress on a regular basis, and CBD oil has been found to help decrease recovery time and help relieve pain.

ARE CBD PRODUCTS AND PROCESSING REGULATED BY 3RD PARTY LAB TESTING?

Our CBD products go through a rigorous verification process to provide proof of purity and potency.  Quality manufacturers want to ensure that their customers know exactly what they’re buying, and to provide plenty of educational information.  This is where third-party testing comes in.  Our products go though both first- and third-party testing, and you can find those lab results by scanning the QR code on the back of each label.
